What can you learn from a smelly fishmonger!

Can creativity and enthusiasm be learned from a smelly, fishmonger?
You bet! One of the most important values I learned from this book is that it's possible to gain wisdom from some of the most unsuspecting places. Never judge a book by its cover... you could be missing out on a lot!
One thing that I will never understand about society is how easily we get trapped into ruts in our professional and personal lives. Yet, we do nothing to rectify the situation. Complaining doesn't count, my friends!
With thousands of business "How-to" books flooding the market, Fish! is a welcome change as it tackles some very important issues in a fun and easily understood manner.
In this engrossing parable, a single mom/corporate manager is given a seemingly impossible task. She is responsible for turning an office that has been described as a toxic-energy dump into an enthusiastic and productive environment.

Postive and fun to read.

This book is such an easy read and story to follow. Very motivating. This was purchased for my daughters summer reading for her 8th grade ELA class. She said it started off a bit boring but then she really enjoyed it and said it was easy to read and follow. They are writing about how they can use the ideas in their school life as opposed to work. She liked it so I went ahead and read it too. I enjoyed it as well. I think the points were well made and can see where trying to implement the ideas in work or classroom would be awesome. I am a teacher and plan to implement the ideas for my students to use and think about when school starts back in the Fall. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to think about motivation for work or home or anywhere. Try these simple ideas and see what you can do. It is a positive uplifting story.

Love the FISH! philosophy!

In a mandatory training I attended at our University in January 2014, the facilitators of the group presented the four principals of FISH! I loved it so much that I asked for the information about the book. Since then, I have spent time reading, rereading, and incorporating these principals in all my affairs. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would!
I like the four principals of the book, they make sense, are simple, but may not be easy to apply, it will depend on the commitment level of the leadership. Ask yourself this question: If you could work for an optimistic world class organization that cares about their people, would you? I don't know anyone who would say no to that question!
I highly recommend this book to anyone committed and willing to restore the energy and passion in their workplace environment and life! FISH! is a great philosophy that can be applied to any organization. Once implemented, sit back and watch what happens, it's nothing short of amazing!
